This document provides a basic overview of the functions of the GRATIS integration with Meeting Broker

  • Meeting Broker is a Hotel Platform. It's a web-based application that only works in internet explorer. It's old tech but functional.

  • Enquiries go out of gratis and land in the specific venue's version of Meeting Broker
  • If the venue wants to accept the booking the hotel clicks a button in Meeting Broker to respond which takes them to the venue's version of www.myeventschannel.com (MEC)
  • Once a response has been sent via MEC we change the status in meeting broker - proposal date and time is updated
  • If the venue wants to decline the RFP they can do this directly through Meeting Broker without having to go into MEC
  • If the venue confirms in Meeting Broker the staus in Meeting Broker will show as 'award' if the venue declines it will show as withdraw
  • The EnClould symbol will appear as it goes via EnCloud (EnCloud is a system used to copy enquiries from one system to another and from one instance of GRATIS to another)
  • Meeting broker RFP tab can have RFP's from other suppliers(not just GRATIS agents)
  • If the booking is cancelled it will still show as awarded in MB. Once it’s awarded in meeting broker you can’t change the status.
  • When the user responds to the RFP through meeting broker it opens the link to MEC on IE. Gareth says MEC doesn’t support meeting broker but it does currently work.
