Healthcare Venues - also known as compliant venues
These are venues that are servicing the needs of meetings and events in the healthcare sector. The venues are assessed to ensure that they meet specific criteria and are given a rating such as Amber or Green. Healthcare uses our venuedirectory.com data through an API feed, it pulls our venue listings onto their website so we will receive emails from Healthcare Venues to add and remove venues on their site and update their assessments.
Background Information
Each venue undertakes a rigorous assessment of its suitability for healthcare meetings and events including:
Online and offline sales and marketing positioning
A physical venue assessment
Operational processes
Appointment and training of an individual Venue Healthcare Champion or wholesales and operational teams

Adding a Venue
Update the listing
Once we receive the email from healthcare we must first build the listing with some additional information. Healthcare sometimes provides this information in their email, if not go to the venue's website and add what you can find.
The information needed:
- A few images
- Conference rooms and overall capacities
- Some styles, facilities, and equipment, if you can find any
If the information is not provided and no details are on the venue's website it is best to add some standard information such as the below:
Overall Capacities - add 1 in a number of rooms and max capacities as 10.
Facilities -add places of interest, 5 miles.
Equipment - Add Wifi
Add the assessment
The assessment will be attached to the email.
Go to old admin, edit venue, and select the venue - https://admin.venuedirectory.com/admins/index.aspx
Select Compliance Tab
Update Status - Red, Amber, Green
Set the date the assessment was emailed in
Copy the assessment report and click the Paste as Plain Text icon at the top of the box.
The formatting must be exactly as shown in the PDF document sent by Healthcare Venues.
For example, the status must be shown in the colour achieved and in BOLD.
Any bold text in the report needs to be changed to bold and the paragraphs must be separated exactly as the report is.
Add the Healthcare Champion user
Now you need to check the Health Champion is added to the venue, if not already on the venue add the contact as a new user, then edit the user and tick as the Healthcare Champion. They will provide the user details in their email.
Go to MEC and find the venue - https://www.myeventschannel.com/admin
Select Users
Check user is listed and click on the user's name to edit
Select Admin Only
Tick Healthcare Champion and save
Add the Collection
Finally - as we provide an API feed that powers their website, we need to add the venue to their Collection. The collection is what pulls our data through to their website.
In MEC on the venue listing go to Admin Only
Availability & Collections
In the collection box type in Compliant, click and save
Removing a Venue
Steps the same as above but remove instead of add.
