Green Tourism - Process
A regular feed of venues that have started or attained their Green Tourism Accreditation will be received on a monthly basis from Green Tourism.
The data will include the venue name, address, postcode etc. and also the Green Tourism Level accreditation attained and their unique 3rd party ID.
The feed will be received initially via a spreadsheet as Green Tourism are still in the process of setting up their API for us to connect in to.
When a data feed is received from Green Tourism - this will be received monthly from Diane Knight (diane@green-tourism.com) and will be sent to both elaine.long@venuedirectory.com and venuesupport@venuedirectory.com
The data will include new venues, any that have lost accreditation and those whose accreditation level has changed. It should not be the whole venue list of all venues that have attained accreditation with them - only the changes.
The venue will need the 3rd party ID adding/removing from the venue data. To update this:
Log into www.myeventschannel.com
Search for the required venue
Click Admin Only
Click 3rd Party ID’s
Add or delete the required 3rd party ID and save
The venue will need the accreditation added/changed/removed from their venue data
Click Brands & Affiliations
Click Accreditations & Awards
Select the Green Tourism level attained - choose from Green Tourism Bronze, Green Tourism Silver or Green Tourism Gold. If the venue is still going through the accreditation process, they will have the accreditation, Green Tourism Awaiting Grading.
If the venue has changed its grading, please amend the accreditation to the correct level and delete the out of date accreditation using the Bin Icon.
If the venue no longer has a Green Tourism accreditation, click on the Bin Icon to remove it.
Click Save
When a request is received from the venue to update their Green Tourism Accreditation
If there is no accreditation currently saved within the venue profile, update the accreditation to display Green Tourism Awaiting Grading. If they already have an accreditation saved, leave the accreditation as it is for now.
Email Diane Knight (diane@green-tourism.com) to request confirmation of the venue’s membership and the status of their accreditation.
Respond back to the venue explaining the accreditation level that has been set pending a reply from Diane to confirm the correct accreditation level.
Handling queries with the data we have received.
When we receive the monthly data feed, we may have some queries with the venue information we have received. For example, the venue may have changed name, may be closed down, may not want to be listed with us, you may not be able to find the venue to add it to our database etc.
Any queries in the data should have a notes field added and information completed regarding the query. The notes should be clear and concise and suitable for review by a client.
The queried venue data should then be emailed to Diane Knight (diane@green-tourism.com) who will review and then respond with any action she needs us to take.
