This help document will detail how to set up a CRM only profile. 


We now have new functionality to set up a user and identify them as being used for sales leads, as prospective clients etc. The user will not be visible on either www.myeventschannel.com or www.venuedirectory.com.  


The user is there purely so we can record any CRM information we need to, for example telephone calls, emails etc.


All users should be added on to our database via MEC however the new CRM user is the exception to the rule!


The new CRM user should be added in Endeavour  - the user will automatically be set up as a CRM contact (it cannot be overridden) and if any of the venue/supplier user profiles are selected, the functionality will also tick the hidden in Gratis checkbox.  All other Users unless a CRM contact, MUST be added in MEC.


The user will not be sent a verification email.


CRM activities and history should then be updated in the usual way.


Adding a CRM Contact:


Search for the venue/supplier that you wish to add the contact to using the Endeavour search bar at the top of the page, and once you have found the correct venue/supplier please click on the venue/supplier name to load the venue/supplier's Endeavour page. 


Once you have the venue/supplier's Endeavour page loaded you will need to click on the Contacts tab.

Once on the contacts tab you will need to click on 'Add User' in the bottom left hand corner.

A pop-up will then appear asking you to fill out the required fields with the user's information.  Once comnpleted please click on 'Create User' to add CRM only contact. 

Another pop-up should now appear which is to confirm  if you are happy to create this user, if you are happy to do so please click 'Create User'. 

Once added a green message will now appear letting you know that your user has been created and you can click on the user's name to view their details within Endeavour. 

If you add the user and choose Venue/Supplier Manager, Venue Administrator or Venue/Supplier User - then you will see the hidden in Gratis checkbox is also ticked within the Account tab. 


Amending CRM Only Profiles to allow the user access to MyEventsChannel

Occasionally you may need to update the profile for the CRM contact to allow them access to MyEventsChannel and allow them to be visible to the agents. 

To be able to do this you will need to search for the user in Endeavour and click on their details to load their user profile. 


Click on the 'Account' tab. 

On the right hand side under CRM Options you will see a green box called 'Convert to CRM Account'. You will need to click on this box. 

A pop-up will then appear asking you to confirm that you are happy to change this user and that a verification email (invite) will then be sent to this user.  If you are happy to go ahead please click on Send

Under CRM Options it should now show that the invititation has been sent to the user and the date and time that this was last sent. You will also have the option to resend the invite if required to do so. 

The user will then move into the Awaiting Verification tab on MyEventsChannel and how here until they verify their account. Once the user verifies their account and agrees to the privacy policy, updates their contact preferences and agrees to our terms and conditions they will appear as a user in the usual way.
