General Fire Information

What to do if you discover a fire:

·         Operate the nearest call point and verbally warn people in the vicinity

·         Leave the building by the nearest exit 

·         Do not use the lift

·         Do not stop to collect personal belongings

·         Report to the assembly point – Outside Holland House

·         Report to the fire warden – Operations Manager, Emma Reeves

·         Do not re-enter the building until told it is safe to do so


On hearing the fire alarm

·         When the bells start ringing you must stop what you’re doing and leave immediately if the bells stop ringing during the evacuation, you must continue evacuating the building

·         Leave the building by the nearest exit

·         If there are any visitors please escort them from the building

·         Do not stop to collect personal belongings

·         Do not use the lift

·         Report to the assembly point -  Outside Holland House

·         Report to the fire warden - Operations Manager, Emma Reeves

·         Do not re-enter the building until told it is safe to do so


Tackling the fire

·         You should only attempt to tackle the fire if you have been trained to do so

·         Fire extinguishers are provided throughout the building should you need to use them to assist your exit 


Disabled Persons Evacuations

·         There are designated refuge points for disabled persons
